Rough Idle

Post by frost_dxb »

Hi, i'm having problem with my M43's idle most of the time it runs very good and all of a sudden idle jumps from 200 to 1200rpm when ever i stop in lights. I have noticed that when ever it's going to happen it is sluggish and smell of fuel is around from the exhaust tip. I have done already some service to most things like ICV, O2 sensor, TB.

Thanx,

hey frost_dxb,
did you ever figure out what was wrong?

I would have thought that the ICV cleaning would have fixed it. Have you checked for air leaks?

cheers

no it is still there and it's getting worse as it also hit me when the car is in motion (engine just died while cruising)

Did you ever get this sorted out? I was having a few idle issue a little while back and there was a vacuum leak where one of the hoses was lose. If the problem is still going on then I'd suggest searching all over for an air/vacuum leak. This was enough to stall out my car, but it was an easy fix for me.
