New BMW 6 Series Coupe available at launch with M-Sport Pack

Post by bimmermania »

Earlier this month, BMW unveiled their new BMW 6 Series Coupe. In the press release available at the time of web unveiling, BMW introduced the new 6er with only two engine configuration: the 320 horsepower BMW 640i and the 407 horsepower BMW 650i, the top model in the range. At the time, no word on whether BMW will offer an all-wheel-drive variant or when the diesel and M-Sport packages will be available.

According to a reliable source close to BimmerToday, in the upcoming weeks that will be more news around the September launch and options available. The source did reveal that a diesel will be available September comes. The diesel variant could be the 635d model with a new engine that offers lower fuel consumption. Just like the 650i and 640i, the turbocharged diesel will be matted to the fuel-efficient eight-speed automatic transmission.

Those of you that will skip on the new M6, you will have the option to order the new 6 Series Coupe with the M-Sport Package. The customers will have a choice between 19 or 20 inches alloy wheels, larger tires and a new exhaust system with improved acoustics.

As seen in other M-Sport Package offerings, the 6 Series Coupe tailpipes will be available in Dark Chrome.

First spy photos of the M-Sport Package have begun to appear as early as this week, so expect an official unveiling in the near future.
