New alarm...bypass the factory fitted imobiliser...or not?

Hi I am buying a remote start alarm system am just curious as to whether i have to bypass the factory fitted imobiliser because the alarm comes with an imobiliser.

i'm not positive, but i think it should pretty much be plug-n-play. is the alarm that you are buying made specifically for your car's make/model? if so then you shouldn't have to by pass anything, and everything should just wireup like normal. i haven't installed an alarm before but that is my guess.
