ItalDesign’s BMW Nazca C2 Reborn in Sabino Leerentveld Homag

Post by bimmermania »

Italdesign Nazca C2 or Italdesign Nazca M12, as has been labeled, was a concept sports car designed in 1991. The car was penned by the famed automotive engineering company Italdesign, with some iconic BMW elements. The car was equipped with the Neuromotion FC6 engine from BMW and produced 660 horsepower. The car had a top speed of 185mph. The Italian design house also presented a race-spec version of the car called the Nazca C2 at the 1992 Tokyo Motor Show, followed by a Spyder model in 1993.

To pay homage to the original concept, twenty years later, Dutch designer Sabino Leerentveld has resurrected the Nazca C2 in a new form and shape.

The new concept brings out a fresh design, with its sculpted aerodynamic flanks, EfficientDynamics-inspired nose and pillars cleverly secreted behind its massive glasshouse. Looking at the overall design, the concept certainly looks like it could enter production at any time.

Sabino Design’s concept measures in at 4400mm long, 1990mm wide and 1110mm high with a 2710mm wheelbase. A luxurious interior is said to be included.

In our opinion, yet another car that shows the demand for a new BMW supercar remains high and renderings and BMW-based concepts create a lot of emotions among BMW fans.
