Patent drawings reveal the rear-end structure of the upcoming F31 BMW 3 Series Touring. The shape of the roof and window line is similar to the one seen on recent spy photos.
The patents also show the rear side wall, bumper and the tailgate, as expected without the taillights which based on the drawings seem to be slightly different than the F30 3 Series Sedan with a sharper form.
In Europe, the entry level model will be the 320d producing 184 horsepower. Next in the line-up is the more powerful 325d which uses the twin-turbo 218 horsepower four-cylinder engine from the 525d. The six-cylinder diesels will make their way into the 330d and 335d, producing 258 horsepower, respectively 313 hp.
BMW will also offer the new touring with the xDrive configuration.
The new 3 Series Touring will make its debut at the upcoming Leipzig Auto Show in June.
