We received breaking news from NAIAS that a special S1000RR HP (High Performance) model will be released for the North American Market. The official release is in approximately one week, so stay tuned for full details and pricing.
In the meantime here’s what we do know: the S1000RR HP model will have copious amounts of Carbon Fiber throughout and an even lighter curb weight than its already-lightest-in-class sibling at 204 kg (450 lb). The HP model will include all factory options including advanced race ABS, traction control and a fantastic quick shifter.
If this model is deemed “High Performance” by BMW, than what should we call the 193 hp standard model?
