WSBK News: BMW Motorrad Team Manager Tardozzi Leaves Team

Post by bimmermania »

In a surprise and unexpected move, Davide Tardozzi, BMW Motorrad Team Manager has left the team after less than one year of his signed 3 year contract. Tardozzi had established himself as the most successful team manager in the history of WSBK, predominately racing with Ducati motorcycles. Just last year, BMW had signed Tardozzi to lead their racing effort, in the hopes of a coveted WSBK championship title under his command.

Unfortunately, it seems things did not work out as anticipated by BMW, and perhaps Tardozzi’s management style did not mesh well with the disciplined German team. We do not know who will assume his role as team manager as of yet, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as news comes in.

With the right machine and Troy Corser and Leon Haslam as pilots, the only puzzle piece remaining for the 2011 assault on the championship is a team leader. We look forward to another exciting WSBK Championship starting next spring.
