got a new 91 318is

Post by 74tii »

Hiya

Glad to have found your site -- most especially the downloads section :)

This is my first modern bmw. I've got several old 2002s and a tii but came accross a 91 318is for $500 so I couldn't pass it up.

Its in great shape but for an engine tick that I hope is just a timing chain tensioner. I haven't had time to investigate but after burning up my modem some with the manuals I hope to get it sorted out.

cheers for the site and hopefully the 318is will be on the road soon.

congratz on the new car! my dad has a 1976 2002. the engine was rebuilt and bored-out alittle a few years back and it still runs strong! well, strong as a 2002 can, haha. i hope you find a lot of helpful DIY info here! plenty availible for that model!
