In their latest edition, Diesel Power Magazine lists 50 reasons why diesel i the ultimate fuel. We, at BMWBLOG, are huge fans of diesel powerplants and every single diesel-powered BMW we’ve tested in the past two years has lived up to our expectations.
Over the years, we’ve encountered several misconceptions about diesel powered vehicles, but luckily many auto magazines have tried to educate the end consumers, car owners in this case, sometimes successfully.
Without any further ado, let’s take a look at some of the advantages listed by the previously mentioned magazine:
[*]Diesel fuel is 15 percent more energy dense than gasoline.[*]A diesel releases less carbon dioxide into the air because it is more fuel efficient.[*]Diesel fuel does not evaporate as easily as gasoline, so it is much safer in accidents.
