I usually have my rotors (other vehicles) turned at Oreilly Auto Parts.
I read that these cars come with the cross drilled fronts, but damn, those are expensive to replace. It is not like it is an M3 or something. I want cheap, as I probaly won't keep the car too long.

Are the rotors on this car disposable only?

My rotors need turned but I seen one site say that because they are made thinner that they must be replaced. Anyone have any input on this? I have a 328i sedan with vented front and non-vented rear. The rotors are pretty smooth but do have a big wear lip on th outer edge. Also, I called the auto ...

Well, for those still viewing this thread, my gasket replacement did not fix my oil leak. I should have listened to the BMW tech at the dealer that said in 20 years, that may have happened once or twice.
I will end up taking it in I guess.

Wow, no one else has seen this issue?

I find it hard to believe that 52 people have read this thread and no one has encountered a similar issue. I tore it all apart today and ordered the new gasket. The old one was really brittle (and broke into several pieces upon careful removal). I am confident that this is where the leak was coming ...

oil leak on my 328i from the oil filter to engine location

I have a oil leak where the oil filter unit meets the engine as best i can tell. I have been looking for a DIY for this, but it must be rare. All help appreciated!
