I figured it out.
The PO had spliced into the engine bay relays and used really long wires to run the connection back to the alarm

Need a hand De-installing non-factory alarm
Gents I have a Euro spec 1991 320I, which is basically a 1992 325. Im trying to remove the non-factory alarm system as it is crazy and I do not like getting stranded I found where they spliced the starter wire and fixed that, but I the engine just turns over and wont fire. I can not find any more ...
