Renderings: BMW M5 Touring F11
Rumors around a BMW M5 Touring based on the F11 platform first surfaced in 2010, but details have been scarce and no indication from BMW that such model is even being considered. Even the usual spy shots that appear a couple of years before the market launch have yet to be seen, but this has not stopped rendering artists to “draw” their own design idea of an M5 Touring.
Last one to take on this task is Wildspeed, a member of Bimmerboost forum,who delivers a few photoshop images of an M5 Touring bodystyle in different colors.
Assuming that an M5 Sports Wagon is even in works, we would expect it to feature similar aggressive design elements as seen in the M5 sedan. The powerplant offering should be identical to the one offered in the sedan model, most likely an updated version of the 4.4-liter V8 twin-scroll engine found in the BMW X5 M and X6 M which will peak at 578-horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque.
As with all the other BMW Sport Wagons, the car would be available for European customers only.
