New Live Photos: BMW 1M in Alpine White
Another lucky customer takes delivery of a BMW 1M. European and Canadian deliveries began earlier this month, while US customers will take ownership of their new 1M starting May 16th.
Chris-507, a member of 1addicts, is the proud owner of an Alpine White 1M and decided to share some unique photos with the rest of the world.
The new “baby-M” continues to make waves on the interwebs and not only, the car is slowly starting to prove itself and all the first reviews have been nothing short of positive. Just last week, German Magazine Sport Auto reported that the 1M was clocked at 1:14.1 minutes at Hockenheim race track, faster than the M3 Coupe with DCT gearbox, 1:14.2 minutes.
The 340 horsepower “baby-M” was also nearly a second faster than the Audi TT RS (1:15) and the RS5 Coupe (1:15.3). The Porsche Cayman S with manual transmission fell a bit short as well 1:14.3, but the PDK driven Cayman S lapped below the 1 Series M Coupe 1:13.9. As an interesting tidbit, the 1M was only 0,6 seconds slower than M3 E46 CSL.
Our own 1M saga starts in June when we will be heading to Munich to pickup a Valencia Orange 1M, followed by a trip the M Festival at Nurburgring.
