Drivers door lock won't turn to lock anymore

I recently had an issue with the lock on my drivers door where the key would turn to unlock, but absolutely refused to turn in the lock direction. I fiddled with the lock for a couple of days, but couldn't get it to turn at all.
Solution
I didn't have any WD-40 at the time, but I applied some directly in the key hole, let it sit for ~5-10 minutes. Still wouldn't turn, applied more for ~5-10 times and finally got it to turn.
If you have a similar issue, give WD-40 a try and make sure the work the locks several times for good measure.
