electrical problem

hi i am new to this forum etc but anyway i have a 1991 e34 525i it has been off the road for about 3 months so i charged the battery and it started first time no probs the thing is i couldnt open the sun roof a freind told me it could be the alarm and that it will reset itself well the sun roof now works ok but i cant shut the drivers side window when i open it the sun roof opens and the window wont shut again can anyone help

If there was a previous owner, did they do any electrical modifications to the car at all?
