BMW 5 Series Wagon might return to the U.S. market
According to Autoblog quoting BMWNA officials, the new BMW 5 Series wagon may return to United States. Final decision has yet to be made, but the slow sales of the 5 Series Gran Turismo may speed up the return of the sports wagon.
BMW claims that sales of the 5 Series GT have managed to outsell the previous 5 Series Wagon, in our opinion most likely due to the newer design language and higher premium interior.
The F11 BMW 5 Series Touring made its debut last year and it has become a successful model for BMW in Europe. The car is manufactured at the Leipzig plant and entered the market to compete with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon and Audi A6 Avant.
The design of the new BMW 5 Series Touring is characterized by dynamic and powerful looks. With its long bonnet, short overhangs and a steeply inclined roofline, the new BMW 5 Series Touring is one of the most beautiful Tourings ever to come out of BMW’s production lines and U.S. customers may finally warm up to the elegant and practical 5er Touring.
