I do have the codes, and that part of the owners stuff. I've even got a cassette tape that came with the car. I've tried to pull it out but it's so stuck I don't think the original owner ever opened it :) Too bad the owner's manual wasn't in there. I found one website that said to hold the clock button for 5 seconds. I'll see if that works in a bit

Hope you get it figured out. looked in the owners manual but didn't see anything about how to set it.

So you don't have your owners manual? I will try to scan my 1995 3-series manual and upload it. They should be almost identical.

Got it to work today. I held the clock/date button for 5 to 10 seconds and the colon started flashing. I think where part of my problem was is that I wanted 24 hr time but with a month/date setup. I don't think that's possilbe. Thanks for the help and it would be awesome if you could upload your manual.
