Need a hand De-installing non-factory alarm

Post by n20neenee »

Gents

I have a Euro spec 1991 320I, which is basically a 1992 325.

Im trying to remove the non-factory alarm system as it is crazy and I do not like getting stranded

I found where they spliced the starter wire and fixed that, but I the engine just turns over and wont fire.

I can not find any more obvious splices other than one on the passenger side glove box area.

Where is the most common place to cut/install the immblizer wiring?

thanks

Sean

I figured it out.
The PO had spliced into the engine bay relays and used really long wires to run the connection back to the alarm
