Cool man, so you got the new head unit installed and looking pretty smooth! Glad to hear it! I haven't done anything to my car in a while. Wish I had some money, haha.

My semester started on the 9th, but I have one more year after this. Then to grad school!

To answer one of your questions, as far as I know the OBC didn't come out until 1986 in the 3-series. I had a 1986 325e, e for electronic or something like that with an OBC in it. However, I know for a fact that 6-series had obc's in '84. So, you're wanting to retrofit a 1985 318 with a newer model ...

Your English is fine. I was just confused. Are you talking about a fuel pump? I'm sure you can install that yourself and save some money on labor charges. The ICV is the Idle Control Valve, but that can't be the problem since you said the car is not running when your hearing the ticking noise. Maybe...

The tickking sound that you are hearing sounds like sticky valves to me. Check the oil level?

About your radio, it sounds like it is faulty internally. To fix that you'd have to be pretty good with circuits and soldering as you said, so I might consider it beyond repair. However, I'd still say that it's worth a try to pull the radio out and make sure that all of the wires are secure and that...

Thanksgiving was fun, went by super fast though. Finals went well. I'm ready for another semester. Good luck with your trip to AL. Hopefully it's warmer there, haha. It's been in the 20's here. We really didn't get much from the storm. A bit of rain, but that's all. About your radio, you might want ...

Sounds like it the problem could be coming from several places. Just to quickly try to narrow this down, did any of the following happen: -Did you notice the starting trouble after washing the car? (could be the computer, I've seen this happen when the computer gets wet and goes crazy). -Did you eve...
