Lesson: Creating BMW Z3 Fenders

Post by kyleabaker »

This tutorial will show you how to add those sporty BMW Z3 Fenders to any car.

Step 1:
Lets take this nice Infiniti as our host car.

Step 2:
Now we will take our BMW Z3 Fenders that we will be cropping to put on our Infiniti.

Step 3:
Use the polygon lasso tool and select the part of the Z3 fender that you want. Then choose edit/copy and past the fender on your host car.

Step 4:
It should look something like this for now. Once it is pasted you will want to resize the Z3 Fender. Just choose Edit/Free transform until you have something you like.

Step 5:
Now zoom in on your Z3 Fender and then choose Edit/Transform/Distort. With the Distort tool you can play around and make it look like it should with some perspective.

Step 6:
Once again use the polygon lasso tool and select your Z3 Fender and then hold down the alt key and deslect the black areas of the fender. We are doing this because we don't want to colorize them in a future step.

Step 7:
Now choose Image/Adjustments/Color Balance. Whatever color your host car is try to get it as close as possible. In this case I tryed to get as close to Burnt Orange as I could.

Step 8:
Here is your final product. Looks a little sportyer does it not.
